For the first time, he will now be in a position to directly influence policy and decision-making in Nigerian boxing. Of course, he comes fully backed with federal might and influence to ensure boxing is represented at the very top of governance within Nigeria and abroad. By nature, a stickler for process, he will guide the Boards in matters of corporate governance and integrity.
Vice President
CEO, Yucateco Group, and promoter of the Yucateco Boxing League — Africa’s largest boxing league. A representative of the global body, he also organized the first WBC Amateur Boxing event in Africa, paving the way for the participation of Nigerian and African boxers in WBC-Amateur boxing programs. His proven track record in organizing both local and international events ensures that Nigerian boxing is finally in visionary, capable hands.

Her flawless coordination of the NBF elections and deft handling of issues already prove her leadership competence. With her at the administrative helm, the Board’s operations are certain to move with clarity, structure, and purpose.
Technical Representative Chairman / Technical Committee.
The tireless technocrat and one of the most experienced figures in Nigeria boxing administration. After over a decade of coordinating NBF technical programs without the power to make final decisions, he now steps into a position where his expertise can truly shape the sport’s technical direction. His concurrent role as Technical Director for Yucateco Boxing Promotions — Africa’s biggest amateur boxing promotional body — gives him the ideal experience to elevate Nigeria’s technical and tactical standards. With divers experience behind him -boxer, coach, referee-judge - Laguda brings a total package to the Board.

South-South Representative (The Fighting Barrister) An experienced sports lawyer and boxing referee who grew up within the sport and has remained passionate about developing it. His blend of legal expertise and grassroots connection makes him a strong advocate for fairness and development in Nigerian boxing.

A dynamic young sports promoter who has been championing boxing in the North-East with visible passion and resilience. His energy and innovative ideas are expected to boost participation and opportunities for young boxers in the region.

Nigeria’s first female boxer and a passionate coach of the women’s division. Her presence is both encouragement and proof that ceilings are being shattered - there is room at the top for everyone. Gender is no barrier.
