About Us

Nigeria Boxing Federation

The Nigeria Boxing Federation (NBF) is the official governing body for boxing in Nigeria. The federation is responsible for the development, regulation, and promotion of boxing nationwide. The NBF organizes national championships, oversees athlete selection and training for international competitions, and ensures that boxing in Nigeria adheres to global standards and safety regulations. It focuses on identifying and nurturing talent, providing opportunities for athletes to compete at continental and world levels. Beyond athlete development, the federation also manages coaching programs, referee and judge certification, and grassroots initiatives to expand boxing’s reach across Nigeria. Through partnerships with government agencies, sponsors, and international bodies, the NBF promotes discipline, sportsmanship, and national pride among its athletes. Led by an elected executive committee headed by a President, the NBF strives to produce world-class boxers while modernizing training and management practices to keep Nigeria competitive on the global stage.
